We’ve gained three new board members this fall!
Shveta is a Senior Marketing Consultant at 2A Consulting. Before getting her MBA from the University of Washington, she spent 8 years in the tech industry working for large corporates such as HP and IBM. Shveta’s passion for yoga led her to train at Rishikesh for the RYT 200 from Yoga Alliance, and then teach at Total Yoga, Bangalore before moving to Seattle.
Dr. Erin Stuckey is an Epidemiologist and a Program Officer with the Malaria team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation supporting efforts to eradicate malaria. Erin completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification at Spira Power Yoga in West Seattle to focus on reducing inequity and strengthening communities through mindfulness and yoga practices right here in Washington State.
Kate Axt leads marketing efforts for Amazon’s retail global expansion team. She brings 15 years of experience with PR, advertising, and marketing to the board as well as has held numerous non-profit board positions while living in NYC and NYC. She’s a 200 RYT who has taken numerous Baptiste yoga workshops as well as YBB’s teacher training. She is passionate about helping to empower incarcerated people and change the broken system and has already rolled up her sleeves on the board by taking on managing the board fellows, joining the external affairs committee, and planning for the launch of Namastream.
Welcome to the team, Shveta, Erin and Kate! We are so excited to transform the prison system with you <3
