“Rita-Louise Wakehnhi:iostha Friendly is our Corporate and Community Partnerships Specialist who works with Amara and Maggie to continue to develop our community.
Rita-Louise understands the corporate world and believes in social justice and racial equality. She regularly worked with a highly varied group across organizations as an Event Planning Manager and believes that every human is more than a mistake they made.
Rita-Louise has worked at 5 different venues starting in Brooklyn and ending here with the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass. She planned over 250 events per year and is excited to translate the variation and connection needed for events to our development team.
Rita-Louise is currently taking Adobe classes with SVC and you can find her on and off the rig at Emerald City Trapeze, or at Drygoods Design sewing up a storm.
Rita-Louise holds a BA in Biology from Dartmouth College.”
We welcome Julian Saucier as YBB’s new Executive Director. In addition to bringing a rich background in nonprofit and business management, Julian will, for the first time in our organization’s history, reflect the students we serve. Julian found yoga during his incarceration. “Julian’s compassionate approach to management, passionate advocacy, and experience with the complexities of the criminal justice system will help guide the organization into its second decade of service to our students.” Board Chair Dr. Erin Stuckey
