Register now for our September Trauma-Informed Yoga Training!
Are you looking for a way to deepen your trauma-informed skills? Whether you are a social worker, therapist, educator, medical professional, yoga instructor, or someone working or affected by the criminal legal system, Yoga Behind Bars' Trauma-Informed Yoga Training is a profound experience.
“The resources shared have community healing at their core,” said training facilitator, Alyssa Pizarro when asked what differentiates this course from others. “Although we can't be together in a physical space, the tools support a deeper community connection that goes beyond proximity and barriers. It asks us all to reimagine what connection is and what it looks like.”
In the 12-hour program, participants explore
👉 how trauma impacts the body & brain
👉 how to facilitate a trauma-informed yoga session
👉 interrupting internalized isms
👉 personally using and practicing the tools presented
As training facilitator Rosa Vissers says, “This training is deeply committed to yoga as a path towards collective liberation. You will be offered tools to understand what you can do, individually and as a community, to build a world where all people are valued and belong.”
